About Us
B&B Amici is situated conveniently for those who would like to visit the surrounding area’s and are traveling by car. It’s located only 5-minutes away from the highway in Vezzano Ligure and along the road heading straight to the La Spezia center (about 10-minute drive). The B&B Amici is run by a friendly Polish-Italian family.
Every morning there is a delicious, intercontinental breakfast (buffet) available for the guests. It includes freshly-baked croissants, seasonal fruits and yogurt. On top of that, the delightful Italian coffee is served which of course can’t be missed. On the warm days breakfast is served on the outside upper terrace.

Narrow alleys, antique tenement houses with green shutters, pubs, restaurants, local souvenir shops, wine tasting, amazing sunsets, romantic walks, warm beaches and a characteristic sound of the Italian life… this is only a sample of what is here waiting for you. The National Cinque Terre Park is on the list of UNESCO since 1997.
Portovenere with his archipelag composted of Palmaria, Tino and, Tinetto is one of the most evocative and spectacular places. Ideal for those looking for gorgeous view and prefer to relax on the beach. It is located 11 km from La Spezia and easily accessible by car, bus or ferry. Here you can walk through the alleyways of the village filled with, typical shops while enjoying seafront with many restaurant and bar. This beautiful town has two sides. One of each is stunning St. Peter church which is built on the rocks. Nearby the church you explore an old citadel still surrounded by the medieval walls. The view surrounding the church and citadel is to die for. While admiring Grote of Byron, where the famous author got inspiration for his books. Not surprisingly, some celebrities like Antonio Banderas, David Beckham and Avril Lavigne, have chosen this place, as their holiday destination. Apart from trips to nearby islands, you will get the opportunity to go and explore underwater on one of the submarines. Twice a year is organized here the Natural Pool- event that allows you to swim along to the island of Palmaria. Definitely it is an event not to be missed!
La Spezia is a stunning port town surrounded by beautiful costal. Here is located one of the most important and exclusive harbour in whole Italy as well as NATO military base. On the harbour you will find plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and swimming pool. Loads of yachts, cruise and trading ships are pulling in. Transport link is well organised so exploring this town is very easy. You will get to places such as 5 Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, San Terenzo or Carrara by buses, trains and ships. Tourist life in this town rolls around the sea cost. You can walk miles alongside the beautiful pier surrounded by palm trees while enjoying drink or two, or seat in the many bars and restaurants. If you a cloths lover, you will indulge yourself in shopping spree. The city has one of the biggest shopping moles known as Le Terazze. You will find everything over there. Plenty of coffee shops and small restaurants where you can taste loads of different food and drinks. Each morning fresh sea food and other see products are on hand when going to one of the fish markets. Every year the first Sunday of August rowing race take place. The night before the race is full of excitement. A huge night parade is organised by the residents of the thirteens towns which compete in the race. After the parade everyone can take part in a dinner. From the middle of July along the pier are set up different exhibitions and trade fairs. They tempt you with delicious aroma, good music and live entertainment. In July alongside the town streets ‘’White Meal’’ is prepared. The event is to show to everyone that they are part of this town and they are treated as a family. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the meal. In March all city celebrates the St. Joseph day. This is the most awaiting time of the year. Different stands with various articles can be found on this days as well as delicious food and good entertainment.
Lerici and San Terenze are the most multicolored towns which lay in the Gulf of La Spezia. Easily accessible with the bus or a car. This two towns are connected to each other, thanks to 3km walk along a coast, called “walk from castle to castle.” Stunning beaches, including the Blue Bay, Fiascherino and Venere Azzurra are located between those towns. All of them well-equipped with a dining area and possibility to hire umbrellas and sunbeds. During the summer the focus of events, shows, concerts and nightlife is Piazza Garibaldi. Lerici and San Terenze, are ideal for everyone. Both castles towers are visible above the sea, and out of the archipelago which consist of three islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. The large and sandy beaches encourage to take the lazy walk or just lay down and enjoy the sun. Bars invite to relax and to enjoy drink or two. While restaurants offer local dishes to be tried. Carrara is a small, town famous for its white marble which is known not only in Italy but also in the rest of the world. Michelangelo was sculpting by using the white marbles. To discover the origins of this city best is to start with the visits to the old town, and then go to the marble quarries. Here you find a spectacular and breathtaking views over the valley. The Carrara marble as well as being used in the field of furnishing is used to preserve food. Nearby Carrara is a small town called Colonnata, where famous lard is produced. This product has a unique taste because of being kept in the marble basin with herbs and other seasoning. Usually in the month of August the festival of lard is organized. This time is an ideal time to taste all the specialties Carrara has to offer.
